About Nexus Jiu-Jitsu
Nexus means the central and most important point or place. That is how I view my gym. This gym will be the central point at which the style of teaching jiu jitsu will evolve. We will have a systematic, curriculum-based teaching format that will lucidly convey the techniques of jiu jitsu to the students in an easily understandable and memorable way.
Our method will also help students attain the knowledge of jiu jitsu quickly and in a focused manner. Students will progress through the art efficiently. This method of teaching in a systematic, curriculum-based style will also breed better, more adept instructors in the future.

TEACHING METHOD
Our method is actually rare in the art of jiu jitsu today. There will be structure to the lessons. There will be no guesswork on what will be learned/taught at any particular time. Each part of the system will be very articulately and lucidly conveyed to the student base.
The main idea of each part of the system will be recorded and placed on our youtube channel as well as our ig for the students who missed particular lessons to go back to and watch so that they are not in the dark in regards to the lesson plan.
Coaching
The coaching at Nexus Jiu Jitsu will also be very different from most gyms in operation today. Obviously the coaches need to be respected, show respect to others and be worthy of their position. However, there seems to be an air of superiority in the disposition of most coaches in jiu jitsu gyms.
This will not be the case at Nexus Jiu Jitsu. The concept at Nexus will be that the only difference between a lower belt and a higher belt is that the higher belt has been tapped out more times. They aren't superior or more special. They have just served more time and given more to the art.
Focus on Community
Nexus Jiu Jitsu will be more focused on the community than other gyms. Our goal is to give back and to help the communities we are in.
Scholar ship Program
Nexus Jiu Jitsu will have a scholarship program for kids whose families aren't able to afford their training costs and all the fees associated therein. The scholarship program will be for children from less than advantageous backgrounds and at-risk youth. Five percent of all profits of Nexus Jiu Jitsu will go towards making this a possibility.
